In Europe there are topless beaches, nudity on television and a general lack of stigma concerning sexuality. It's talked about openly. If you want the same experience here you have to look for a community of like minded people in select cities and areas. Try finding an adult swingers club in Nebraska (sorry Nebraska, you're just an easy target (I might actually eat my words there as I haven't done the research, just think Nebraska is backwards and funny), let us know if we're wrong!). We reached out to people in Raleigh, NC and found that as a traveling couple the only way you can meet other like minded couples is to get an invite to a "house party". No swinger clubs at all.
This isn't to say that things aren't getting better. We're certain that almost everybody will have some sort of sex in their lives. There are always those outliers of course, but it's a funny thing to think that in the U.S. there are hundreds of millions of people that we know enjoy sex but may be stuck in the old missionary position banging out kids because sex is functional and should just be for making babies anything more is a "sin"
